Hi All,

Does anyone know of a script that would adjust the in and out of a layer to make it the same length as the layer above?

I seem to spend a lot of time doing this (for mattes, glows, tint layers, adjustment layers, difference layer, anything that takes more that one layer to achieve nicely). I've got the shortcuts down to a fine art (If you really want to know it's Apple-up, i, Apple-down, Alt-[, Apple-up, o, Apple-down, Alt-]).

A single button / key to do this would be wonderful. Any help much appreciated.

Here you go: http://aescripts.com/2008/05/27/trim-to-layer-above/

Hi Lloyd!

Works a treat - especially popped into Jeff's excellent launch pad!

Just what I need. Thank you so much.

You might know this already, but you can also assign keyboard shortcuts to scripts in the scripts menu. If you edit the Keyboard shortcuts file and search for "ExecuteScriptMenuItem" you can assign shortcuts to the 1st 20 items in the list.. I would rename the scripts 1-myscript.jsx 2-myotherscripts.jsx etc to ensure the order in the list..
