Fit and Face 3D layer perfectly to comp

What type of scripts do you need?

I've been a big fan of Zaxwerks Layer Tools. But it must be a low priority plug-in for him as it's still not CS5 compatible.

Paul's Multiplane replicates most of Layer Tool's Z-Distribution. But I haven't found a replacement for the Fit & Face plug in. It takes any 3D layer and aligns it perfectly flat against the comp window. Know of any scripts that does this?

I´d desperately need the same functionality - because Camera Mapping through lights in AFX does only really work (with cam animations and extreme angles) if you can do exactly THAT with a 3D layer. Does anyone know how to add this functionality to CS5.x?

thanks!!

Lloyd, are you saying Multiplane has "fit and face" functionality?

I'm not quite sure if I'm understanding what you're asking fore Navstar, but here is a script that might help SteveScout at least. It alligns a 3D layer to the camera for camera projections. The script is actually to be used as a setup for Camera Mapper, but the setup for using lights is the same. You can download it here: http://www.aenhancers.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1860

If all you want to do is to have a layer align to the camera, the code should be there.
