What type of scripts do you need?

here's a great one: I prefer painting in AE, rather than Photoshop for final output in AE. But the paint strokes are live (non-destructive), and really add up in render time after a while (opposed to PS which is destructive)

How about a script that commits ths paint strokes on a layer by rendering the layer, full rez (regardless of size of comp it is in) importing the rendered file, then replacing footage, so you end up with the same layer, but the paint strokes are committed and easier/faster to work with, render, add more paint strokes to etc.

This may be complicated, but can be achieved manually in AE, so I'd venture to say it is doable via scripting.

You may find this helpful. Instead of making each paint stroke a different brush stroke, key the first brush stroke, have it selected when you make the following strokes and you will only have one paint stroke for that brush. You'll probably also want to key position, diameter and clone position too.
