What type of scripts do you need?

Hello all.

I could use a script that allows the renaming of multiple comp or folders names at once. For example, I would select a group of Comps labeled "Red", duplicate them, and be able to change "Red" to "Blue" while keeping the rest of the Comp name intact. Ideally it'd be like the renaming tool in Windows/Total Commander for PC or the R-Name app for Mac with find and replace options and such.

Hope this makes sense. Anyone know if this is possible?

Thanks!

thats great nab. exactly what i was looking for.

couple additions that might be nice would be the option to make it all upper or lower case, or a way to simply add to the beginning or end.

great stuff. much, much, appreciated.

I've updated the script (same link as above) with the suggested additions.

awesome. however, now i can't add a prefix or suffix without doing a find and replace as well. in other words, if the find and replace fields are empty and i just want to add a suffix, i can't. the same goes for the upper and lowercase options. is that something that could be changed?

thanks nab. this is really awesome!
