Newbie Script Question (3D layers to create shadows)

Hi,

We need to make shadows on alot of shots. I'm new to scripting but would like to know if this is possible:

1. Import .tga sequences with alpha
2. Duplicate layers, make these duplicate layers 3D
3. Adjust lightness, resize and reposition.

I was initially looking to see if AE had something similar to photoshop actions
whereby you can record a workflow and then apply it. I couldn't seem to find this feature and that's led me here, so if anyone knows a way round this that avoids scripting (as i've never done done it before) please let me know. Alternatively if would like to script this again please get in touch.

Unfortunately, there is nothing like PS Actions for AE. From your basic description, it looks like you could probably script it. If you would like more assistance you'll have to be very specific about what exactly it needs to do. If you get started on one, the people here are very helpful in getting it working.
