Text as variable into comps?

Hi,

I would like to create a "teletext"-like AE movie running on a plasma screen. All the graphical elements would be the same all the time, only the text content would change.

Is it possible in AE 6.5 to insert text from external text files into different compositions via scripting? If it exists, where can I find a useful example for that?

This is very do-able. I have written several scripts that do similar things to that. Check out this script over in the library. I can provide more examples of need be.
