AE to Blender

Hello, I was wondering if it would be possible to add Blender to the AE3D Export script. There is a script that allows Blender to export .ma files to AE. So my request comes hoping that the AE camera data etc could be imported to blender, such as SynthEyes does. Thanks for your time and consideration in this request :D .

I am currently developing such a script.

It is a variation of the Ryan Gilmore (http://www.urbanspaceman.net) export script adapted for Blenders coordinate system.

You can find the thread here:

Direct download here:

When you run the script in AE, it generates a .py (python) file that you can execute inside Blender that will create an animated camera that, more or less, matches the camera movements from the AE file.

hey Atomic,
do you still update this script? I think it has really good potential. Espacially if we could use the camera tracker from the foundry in conjunction with this script to add vfx or 3d motion graphics in blender. I think a lot of people would appreciate it if you would continue. :)

Best Regards
