Add Specific Compositions to Render Queue

Hey cool people!
I have some work I do weekly for TV that has 5 compositions that need rendering each time. I managed to build a workflow that works, now I'm hoping to write a script that will automatically add the 5 comps to the Render Queue, send them to a specific location with specific render settings.
I'd like to understand how it works as well, so I can write future scripts myself...
