Creating a Comp for each layer in an existing comp

Hi All

First post here - hope I get lucky. :-)

I'd like to apply the createproxies script from NABscripts but that works with comps that you select in the Project Panel.

Problem is that I'll be importing a PremierePro project where my sequence will contain editing clips. WHen imported into AE, each clip is updated in AE as a separate layer.

I'd like to have a proxy for each of these layers. And then use 3D Assistants to creathe a spheroid.

Would a kind soul please provide a script so that each layer selected in a comp -
1) gets placed into its own comp, with the current comp's settings but with a duration set to each indivisual layer's duration.
2) Place all of these new comps into a newly created Folder in the Project panel
