Hey guys,
i have a multilayered psd, which i import as a composite (not cropped) so i can mess around with the layers in ae. the psd is a matte painting that is being updated and detailed while i get the animation figured out.

I need to be able to select the 20+ footage items in the project palette and make them point to a psd with a different file name (the layer names are consistent between files which are both variations and iterations of the oiginal psd). I need to do this multiple times during the project so i was hoping there could be a more automated way to get this happening..

i can get my head around the basics of scripting, but I'm scratching my head on this one. maybe i need to rtfm a little more closely, but my research has yeielded nada so far.. I can't even find how to specify individual psd layers via script..

any help is much appreciated :)
