Stop a bad script without killing AE?

Is there a way to quit a script while it's running? Sometimes I get an errant script that gets stuck in a loop and I have to kill AE to get it to stop. I can get the ESC key to work occaisionally but not always. Is there a manual override for sloppy scripters like me?
